As one of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ institutes responsible for biomedical and health-related research, The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) publishes a number of extremely informative pamphlets containing up-to-date research on important health topics. These pamphlets are a great source for understanding the basis of some of the mental health issues that affect the legal profession. For example, the pamphlet linked to below summarizes the types of eating disorders and provides information on their symptoms and treatments. It also addresses gender myths, what is being done to better understand and treat these disorders, and provides a list of cited research publications.
