ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Creates Research Data Bank

In response to the increased interest in literature on alcoholism, chemical dependencies, stress, depression and other emotional health issues in the legal profession, CoLAP has created an online research data bank. As related to the legal profession, current topics in the data bank include general literature on mental health issues, alcohol and drug issues, depression, secondary trauma, stress and burnout, and gambling. Additionally, there is a section on law students and mental health.

Although this collection of material will continue to evolve as more information is shared and published, a current collection can be found on the CoLAP website, here. Citation information and links to where the articles can be viewed or purchased are included as well.

To request that additional topics be included, to contribute an article that you have written, or to tell us about an article we may have missed, please feel free to email us: april.faithslaker@americanbar.org
